(CNN) - We know education can change the world - but all over the world, even in the place you live, there are obstacles in the way of girls making that happen.
CNN Films' "Girl Rising," airing in spring 2013, follows nine remarkable girls in nine countries in their quest for an education. Throughout the year, CNN will highlight their stories, and the stories of others' around the world making a difference in education.
We bet you've got a story to tell, too. Making it through years of schooling and life lessons is tough everywhere, including cities, towns and counties around the United States. Or maybe it's OK for you, but it was tougher for your mom, your grandma, your teacher, your church leader, your role model. Maybe your sister or daughter is struggling now, or your next door neighbor, your lab partner, your roommate, your teammate.
What's your story? We invite you to share your personal experience about a challenge you faced in getting an education, or to interview a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother - any girl or woman in your community - about her biggest challenge, and how she overcame it.

Lack of money for education. Disappointed beyond words in the lack of financial support for the educating of today's youth. After all, our children ARE our future!!!!
Not all children learn the same way. Our currently educational system is structured is a way it cuts out whole groups of individual learning styles. Class room sizes are larger now and is a down fall for young people who requires more visual learning and lack focus in a larger class room setting. I have faced this same problem with my son as well. Just recently I found out the dept of Labor was making cut backs toJob Corp which has been a great program for young people who have dropped out of school or did not do well in a traditional education setting. This programs has been around for many years and many young american have benefited from it. This one program gives young people a smaller class room setting and hands on trade experience.
kicked out of school my junior year over petty bs. education forgotten, been at the same school since first grade yet i'm forgotten never walked never attended prom etc just forgotten all i can do is appreciate corporate America!(((not)))
"What's in way of your education" is headline on front page. Um, apparently determiners like "the".
