Ayah Bdeir has invented littleBits – an open-source kit of circuit boards that you build creative projects. She hopes they will inspire young and old to innovate. (from The Next List)
Well yes, they claim to be "open source" all over their PR material, but can you point us to where the source (i.e. schematics) are actually available for download?
Invented? This type of project materials have been available in Electronics hobby shops and Catalogs for over 50 years. I suppose no one bothered to patent it since Hobbyist rarely do. Now Ayah comes along, finds this out, applies for patent and claims to be Inventor!.
