1.) Parents have a difficult time just raising their kids. You really think they have time to search for grants and other options for college to reduce the cost? Oh, and by the time they do: the price is up even more which basically cancels out all efforts to save money. Loans today are a complete joke around 24% and up for interest. Oh, and banks are not issuing loans like they used too even though they caused the problem in the first place. This all ties nicely to credit card debt as well. Government, banks and financial firms failed again. Parents also DO NOT make more money and FAIR salaries are non-existent. That means that the end result: NO COLLEGE for my kids because our failed nation soaked up all viable possibilities. Wake up people and news media: unless I see hard cold facts and real numbers not manipulated to give a child a fair advantage to get a LOW price for college education: I don't want to hear your LIES.
