(CNN) – This is the time in the school year when parents really have a sense of whether their children are struggling academically.
For those parents whose children are having a hard time with math, and are seeking help, one name seems to be popping up more and more: Salman Khan.
Each month, 7 million children and adults log on to Sal Khan’s website, the Khan Academy, to get clear, entertaining, informal video tutorials on everything from basic addition to advanced calculus and more.
So who is Sal Khan? Where does he get his credibility?
Is it from the three degrees he earned from MIT or the Masters he received from Harvard after being raised by a single mother who struggled to make ends meet?
Is it from the raves he gets from Bill Gates who uses Khan’s online videos for his own children?

well i Just think thats great! very nice of him to take his time and effort to help strugling kids who really need it.
I believe that Salmon Khan's program is very cool. It really encourages kids to go out on there own to get help. People who have heard of or used this program should go out and tell others. It looks interesting to learn more about and explore.
I think Salman Khan's website is very useful. It is very useful because kids who need extra help in something can refer to this website to get a tutorial for a chance to get a better understanding in a certain topic.
This academy is a great idea! It gives the kids a chance to learn new things and even retouch on things they already know.
I think it is nice that Salman Khan is helping 7 million children every month from basic addition to advanced calculus. He is really making a difference in these kids lives by just doing a small thing that he enjoys!
I think it's very nice of him to help kids that need more help with math!
Wow! What a guy two degrees from MIT and a masters degree from Harvard. He must be a very smart guy, and it's nice of him to help out others who aren't so smart. He went a long way, but he sure went a long way without starting with much.
Way to put your last name on there smarts
I think this is a really cool idea because kids that need help and are nervous about asking teachers a question can just go online and learn from videos. Then there is the people who are more advanced that can also get help when they need it.
Wow! 4 degrees, with one being from Harvard! It's a good thing he's using his amazing ability to its full potential. Even more, it's to help struggling kids with what they need most.
